Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 2026-05-13. This disclosure complies with the Australian Consumer Law (administered by the ACCC) and the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidelines.
The short version
GUArchives uses affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is one of the ways we keep the site running. It does not affect what we recommend.
Which links are affiliate links
Affiliate links on this site are typically directed at:
- Eneba โ game gift cards, top-ups, and digital products (HoYoverse, Kuro, NetEase, and others).
- Amazon (AU and others) โ gaming peripherals, books, and accessories.
- Other gaming and software partners โ added selectively when products align with our content.
If you're unsure whether a specific link is an affiliate link, you can check by hovering
over it โ affiliate links typically include parameters like ?utm_source=guarchives
or a partner-specific tracking ID.
How we choose what to recommend
Affiliate commissions do not influence our recommendations. Our process:
- We decide what to recommend based on math, math, and more math. Multipliers, breakpoints, F2P viability, real cost.
- If a recommendation involves a product or service that has an affiliate program we're already part of, we use the affiliate link.
- We will not invent recommendations for products just because they have affiliate programs.
- We will not omit a recommendation for a product just because it doesn't have an affiliate program.
What we will NOT do
- Recommend gacha purchases beyond what's mathematically rational for the reader's situation (F2P, light spender, whale).
- Pretend sponsored content is editorial recommendation. Sponsored articles, if we run any, will be clearly marked as "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership" at the top of the article.
- Recommend products from sketchy vendors just because they offer high commissions.
- Hide the affiliate relationship. Every affiliate-linked article will include a disclosure banner or footer note.
Why we disclose this
Australian Consumer Law (administered by the ACCC) and US FTC guidelines require us to clearly disclose material connections to brands. This page does that broadly; individual articles with affiliate links also include a per-article disclosure note.
