Furina (Focalors) is a 5-star Hydro character from Genshin Impact 4.2. She is widely considered one of the best support characters in the game at C0 — no constellations required. This is a pull verdict, complete build guide, and F2P team breakdown.
Pros

The Short Version
Pull or skip? Pull. Furina is the closest thing Genshin has to a mandatory support outside of Kazuha and Bennett. She fits into nearly every team that is not purely Geo or purely Cryo, and her C0 kit is fully functional. The best part for F2P players: her best-in-slot weapon is literally free from fishing.
What Furina Does
Furina operates in two modes controlled by her Arkhe alignment:
Ousia mode (default): Her skill summons three Salon Members — small creatures that continuously deal Hydro damage scaled from enemy HP, and heal your active character by a small amount per HP point your party gains or loses.
Pneuma mode (toggle): Replaces the Salon Members with Crabaletta, who deals larger hits scaled from your party’s total HP.
The key mechanic is her Burst — The Curtain Never Falls: Furina channels Fanfare stacks by tracking how much HP your party members gain or lose during her burst’s duration. At 400 stacks (maximum), your entire party gets up to ~25% increased DMG dealt and a 30% healing bonus. In teams with a dedicated healer, you hit maximum stacks within 4–5 seconds and maintain them for most of the fight.
What Furina needs: A healer. The faster your healer ticks, the faster Fanfare stacks build. Strong pairings: Baizhu, Kokomi, Charlotte, Bennett, Jean, Xianyun.

- Fleuve Cendre Ferryman is genuinely excellent — it gives ER and a Skill DMG buff on cast, which is exactly what Furina wants. You can get it without spending a single Primogem.
- Golden Troupe 4pc is the correct set and it's not gated — farm Molten Iron Fortress at World Level 8 and you'll get it naturally.
- Target 160–180% Energy Recharge on her Sands if you do not have Favonius Sword. With Fleuve, you can target slightly less.
- HP% on Goblet and Circlet is standard. If you already have great off-pieces with ER and HP% substats, use them even if the set bonus doesn't match.
✓ Fleuve Cendre Ferryman + Golden Troupe 4pc is a complete, zero-cost build that performs within 10–15% of BiS in most teams.

🌊 Furina's signature. HP%, CRIT DMG, and skill DMG bonus. High ceiling but not necessary at C0.
Skip if F2P — the C0 kit performs without it.
🎣 Energy Recharge + Skill DMG buff on cast. Free from Fontaine fishing — best accessible BiS.
Trade fish at the Fontaine Fishing Association. No gacha cost.
🍃 High Energy Recharge + party energy on CRIT. Excellent if your Bennett isn't already using one.

C0 is the complete package. Furina’s kit is designed to be fully functional at C0, which is rare for Genshin 5-stars. F2P players: pull once, stop.

F2P savings advice: Don’t pull on every banner. Furina + a free weapon + a free Xiangling team costs zero gems beyond the character herself and still clears Spiral Abyss 36/36. That is the promise of pulling Furina as F2P.

Furina is a genuine priority pull for F2P players specifically. She makes the free characters you already have (Xiangling, Bennett) dramatically stronger, her F2P build has a free best-in-slot weapon, and C0 is fully realised. If she reruns while you have primogems, spend them.
